| Father Ray, as we call him, is the Canon Missioner
for the Episcopal Diocese of Southwest Florida. He is the liaison between
churches in this diocese with Asian-American parishioners (i.e., St. Chad's,
St. Anne of Grace, St. Andrew's, Grace Episcopal Church) and the Office
of Ethnic Congregational Development, led by newly-named Director, The Rev.
Dr. Winfred B.Vergara. ECD is an integral part of the church's work of evangelism,
which holds advocacy and congregational development as equal responsibilities.
ECD is comprised of the offices for Asian American Ministries; Black Ministries,
led by the Rev. Canon Angela Ifill; Native American Ministries, led by Janine
Tinsley-Roe; and Latino/Hispanic Ministries, led by the Rev. Anthony Guillén.
